What we will be learning this week:
Math: This week in math we will be learning how to recognize and order positive and negative numbers and how to solve puzzles using addition and subtraction.
Literacy: This week in Literacy we will learn the main language features of a news report and learn how to write a news report based on fictional events from our Power of Reading novel, Varjak Paw.
IPC: This week in IPC we will learn about the businesses and services that make communities function properly, about different products from around the world, and about the reasons why countries import and export products.
Spelling: This week in spelling we will learn when and how to change y to i in several different words. Two practice assignments have been set. Once you login, you will see a green and blue box that says "Assignments Due". This week they are "Sentence Writing Practice" and "Alphabetize with JoJo".

Highlights of Fox Learning:
Last week in class we started our new IPC unit, Young Entrepreneurs. Here is the Entry Point in action! Four students had to convince the rest of the class that the item in their box was the best thing they could ever imagine! However, in the end it was revealed that the boxes were empty! How tricky!
