Highlights of Fox Learning:
This week in literacy we learned how to infer a character's motives, actions, and feelings through the use of context clues while reading. Here we are acting out a scene from our new Power of Reading novel, Varjak Paw. After we acted, we wrote a journal entry from the perspective of the main character showing his motives, actions, and feelings in the first two chapters.

Additional Announcements:
World Book Day Information – International Mindedness
Dear parents,
Thursday 5th March, is World Book Day! We will be introducing this special day with an International Story during assembly and then the children will share favourite books from their home country. We are very lucky to have so many different countries represented at our school and this is a great opportunity to develop our International Mindedness.
If your child has a favourite book from their home country, please send it in on Thursday 5th March. If you do not have a book, but have a link to a short video clip, on Youtube for example, you can email this to the class teacher prior to this date.
Home Learning – Create a Cover!
Children, design a front cover for a favourite story from your home country. If you can, write a simple blurb to accompany it. Return this Monday 9th March to your class teacher to be displayed in our Learning Gallery.
Kind regards,
Ms Diestene

Dear Parents,
It’s time for the grand event—the moment that all your restaurateurs have been waiting for—the ISK Food Critics’ Awards Ceremony for the Wolf, Fox, and Coyote classes. This ceremony will be held at the Geoje International Center (GIC) on Thursday, March 5th beginning at 1:00 pm (or shortly after) and ending around 2:30 pm.
All parents are cordially invited to this occasion. To make it an even more festive than it already is, please have your restaurateur assist you in the kitchen to produce a dish that represents your home country’s cuisine. This dish may be brought to school in the morning of the event, OR you may bring the dish with you to the GIC. Please label the dish with your child’s name and your home country. We will then be able to enjoy food from all around the world while celebrating your child’s achievements, which will be recognized by the awarding of certificates during the event.
If, for any reason, you will not be able to attend the Food Critics' Awards Ceremony, please let us know when completing the slip below (can be printed and brought to school or sent via email confirmation. Thank you for your cooperation.
Best Regards,
Miss Tonya, Miss Hannah, and Mr. Geoff
